CISF: Hannah Gadsby & Josh Howie

Hannah Gadsby is an award-winning Australian comedian who thinks quickly and moves slowly.  She is sardonic, laconic and, after numerous bone crunching accidents, bionic. Her droll delivery, delightful wordplay and heart-breakingly funny, self-deprecating observations have delighted audiences all over the world.
Hannah is one of the stars of Josh Thomas’ critically acclaimed and International Emmy nominated Please Like Me which can be seen on Amazon Prime in the UK and Netflix rest of world, which wrapped up its fourth and final season at the end of 2016.
In 2017, Hannah toured her solo show Nanette throughout Australia, selling out her season at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival including every seat of a return season. The show, Hannah’s masterpiece saw the adored comedian take home Australia’s most prestigious comedy award ‘The Barry’ for Best Show at the festival.
Desperate to make use of her art history degree for the purposes of debt recovery, Hannah has written and presented three art documentaries for ABC TV and takes every opportunity to present her incredibly popular comedic art lectures at festivals around the world alongside her stand-up comedy shows.

Josh Howie is a stand-up comedian and writer.
Already a much in-demand stand-up comic, performing regularly at all the major comedy clubs around the UK, over the previous few years Josh has also taken his distinctive brand of humor to India, Ireland, UAE, France, China, Thailand, Switzerland, Finland, Estonia and America. And now he can add The Netherlands to his list.
In addition, he’s written and performed five solo shows for the Edinburgh Festival before sell-out runs at the Soho Theatre. These include his hugely successful debut solo Fringe stand-up show, entitled Chosen, which played to sell out audiences and received rave reviews at the 2008 Edinburgh Festival. His second show in August 2010; Gran Slam was based on his time living with his grandmother. In 2011, Josh returned with I am a Dick and in 2014 with AIDS: A Survivor’s Story. He has most recently finished touring his 2016 Edinburgh show Messed Up.
Josh appeared on Dave’s As Yet Untitled with Eddie Izzard, and has recorded for two series of Comedy Central at the Comedy Store and featured on World Stands Up and Comedy Blue for the same channel. Often praised for his writing talent, Josh has contributed features to The Guardian, The Times and The Daily Mail.
